Our Partners

The Merritt and District Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all of our current partners for their ongoing support!

Situated at an elevation of 595 metres (1950 feet) above sea level, Merritt tends to experience mild winters with little snowfall and warm, dry, sunny summers;

Merritt is a 3 hour drive from Vancouver, 1.5 hours from Kelowna, 45 minutes from Kamloops. There are airports in both Kamloops and Kelowna if you are looking to travel further afield.

At a population of 7,000 inhabitants, Merritt is able to provide you with all your daily living needs in a convenient and compact city core. We're large enough to have what you need, we're small enough that the clerks will soon remember and address you by name.

PWCF NicolaVal rgb

Community Futures Development Corporation of the Nicola Valley was established in 1989 to assist residents of Merritt and the Nicola Valley in generating local solutions to  shared economic challenges.

Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and supported by community members who volunteer to sit on Committees of the Board, CFNV offers a wide selection of Community Economic Development (CED) services including:  small business lending and counseling; economic stabilization projects; and support for local not-for-profit agencies involved in tourism, arts and culture, and community vitality.

Although not CFNV’s core mandate, we offer support where possible, to the City of Merritt  Business Development Department which takes lead on investment attraction and municipally funded economic development services.   Core funding for CFNV is provided by Western Economic Diversification (WED) of the Government of Canada.

Since 1925, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce has connected businesses of all sizes, from all sectors and from all regions of the country to advocate for public policies that will foster a strong, competitive economic environment that benefits businesses, communities and families across Canada.

With a network of over 450 chambers of commerce and boards of trade, representing 200,000 businesses of all sizes in all sectors of the economy and in all regions, we are the largest business association in Canada, and the country’s most influential. The primary and vital connection between business and the federal government, our views are sought after and respected by government, business leaders and the media thanks to our well-researched reports, analyses, position papers and policy resolutions that reflect a broad business perspective.
